I’m Una — a young girl with a big personality and an even bigger love for humans. I’m playful, expressive, and learning every day. I adore toys, especially when they come with a side of human interaction. I’m happiest when life is structured, calm, and full of meaningful connection.

What I love:

• Playing with toys — especially when you join in!

• Gentle, predictable routines with space to decompress

• Barrier interactions with male dogs — I’m more comfortable with boys than girls

• Jumping into the car (though I might loudly serenade you en route!)

• Affection in short doses – play is far more fun but I am learning to enjoy a bit of fuss if given choices. I will often choose to come close and have fuss if you are patient and let me walk away when I’ve had enough. More often than not I will come back for more.

• My ball – I use it as a comfort blanket when things are unpredictable or new

• Trying to landscape your garden, especially if you have a rockery or bricks!

 

What I’m working on:

• Barking at noisy or close-up cars — I’m learning to redirect with toys and distance

• Letting go of old habits like chewing hard objects such as bricks — I’m improving with support

• Travelling quietly — I’m making progress and can settle for short periods

• Short exposures to new places where I can just observe at a distance and learn about the world

• I do get a bit frustrated at times and shout loud

 

My ideal home:

• No young children, no other dogs or cats — I’d do best with teenagers and adults who understand my needs

• No other dogs in the home — I prefer solo living, though I can observe others from afar

• A calm, experienced adopter who can continue supporting me in new environments and situations and support my emotional growth

• A safe, structured environment with enrichment and space to decompress

 

Why I’m special: I’m clever, affectionate, and full of potential. I need someone who sees past the noise and into the heart of a young dog learning to navigate the world. With the right support, I’ll be a loyal, joyful companion — playful, expressive, and deeply connected.
