Simba

Simba came to us after a painful, undiagnosed infection which resulted in him biting his owner. He was rehomed shortly afterwards, but that placement sadly failed, and he came to Welfare for assessment and long‑term support.

From the beginning, Simba showed clear signs of emotional strain. He resource guards toys and food, and he is not overly keen on people. His reactions can escalate quickly if he feels pressured or overstimulated, and even a quiet walk down a country lane can cause him significant stress.

Because of Simba’s behavioural needs and the level of stability required to keep him comfortable, he is not suitable for rehoming. He will remain with us as a lifelong sanctuary resident, where he can live quietly, predictably, and without the demands of a home environment.

Here, Simba is safe. He has people who understand his triggers, routines that help him feel secure, and the space to enjoy life on his own terms.
