Rufus is around four years old, full of enthusiasm, and known for getting very excited during play. In that excitement he can mouth hard, and we’re working with him to help him understand gentler ways to interact. He’s learning, slowly and steadily.

Rufus also has some significant worries. He is frightened of getting into vehicles, and he becomes very anxious when a lead is put on. These fears make everyday handling extremely difficult for him, and although we support him with careful, welfare‑led training, he is not ready for the demands of a home environment.

For Rufus’s safety, emotional wellbeing, and long‑term stability, he will remain with us as a permanent resident. Here, he has predictable routines, handlers he trusts, and an environment that doesn’t place him under pressure.

Sponsorship directly supports:

• Enrichment to channel his energy safely

• Vet care

• Confidence‑building activities tailored to his emotional needs

• Comfort items and structured routines that help him feel secure

Your sponsorship ensures Rufus can continue living a life that protects his welfare — something he has always deserved.
