Hello, I’m Murphy — known to my friends as Mr Snuggle Bum. I’m around four years old and happiest when life is calm, predictable, and full of gentle connection. I adore people and love nothing more than a slow, sniffy walk followed by a cosy cuddle. Once I trust you, I’ll lean in for fuss and affection — and I’m a brilliant car companion too – well providing no dogs or horses are walking past as I do like to shout at them.

 

My Ideal Day Includes:

• Peaceful walks with plenty of sniffing and space

• Calm company and gentle interaction

• A quiet retreat for naps and decompression

• Watching the world go by (but preferably not through a busy window!)

 

What I Find Tricky:

• Young children, horses, and other dogs — I’d prefer to be your one and only

• Busy environments or sudden activity — I feel safest when things are slow and steady

• Grooming — I’ll tolerate a few brush strokes at a time, especially if I can walk away and come back

 

My Needs:

• A home without children under 16 or other pets

• A quiet, emotionally safe space where I can relax and recharge

• Guardians who understand my sensitivities and offer me space when I need it

• Support with managing barking triggers — I may join in if nearby dogs are vocal or if I have a clear view of passing distractions

• Someone around most of the time – I can settle down quietly but I do like companionship
