Hank had a very poor and traumatic start in life, and although we don’t share the details, his behaviour makes it clear how much he has carried. He has been carefully assessed to determine whether rehoming would ever be safe for him, but the answer is no — Hank would not cope in a home environment.

Hank was adopted, but he struggled deeply to cope and became overwhelmed by strangers, leading to a bite driven by fear rather than intent. His world needs to stay small, predictable, and filled only with people he knows and trusts.

For Hank’s welfare, emotional safety, and long‑term stability, he will remain with us as a permanent sanctuary resident, where he can live quietly, confidently, and without pressure.
